A WREN-SIZED DOORWAY

This morning a wren landed on the stone wall outside my window. It flicked its wings once, twice, then stayed absolutely still - as if holding a thought it didn’t want to lose. I stopped what I was doing and held still with it. That tiny pause felt like a doorway into the day.

Moments like that are where my work begins.

I pay attention for a living - to people learning their bodies again, to children who carry whole weather systems behind their eyes, to the way a single leaf can tilt itself towards trust. Sometimes that attention becomes bold inked florals. Sometimes it becomes a line drawn so lightly I almost breathe it into place. Sometimes it becomes nothing more than a private noticing that settles my shoulders and makes the world feel a little kinder.

What I make - the lines, colours and scenes quiet or bold -isn’t decoration.

It’s a form of respect

.A way of saying:

I see you. You matter. Your small bravery counts.

This space, Steadier, is my attempt to offer you the same pauses that shape my days - small, steady anchor-moments you can carry into the louder parts of life. I’m not here to advise or optimise or tell you you’re doing life incorrectly. The world is already full of people doing that loudly. I’d rather offer something gentler: a single breath of stillness, a colour held with care, a reflection that feels like cool water on a warm day.

Here, you might find -

• a colour that softens your edges

• a bold inked bloom that feels like courage

• a tiny nature-moment that steadies your breath

• a glimpse into my illustrated world for children (and the grown-ups who quietly need it too)

• a pocket-sized anchor for days that ask too much

Before you go, try something with me - it takes ten seconds.

Look around the room you’re in.

Let your eyes land on the first patch of colour that feels gentle.

Stay with it for a breath or two.

That small settling - that shift - is the doorway I walk through every day.

Welcome to Steadier.

I’m glad you’re here.
